ALL ABOUT AUBREY-SIMONE
Aubrey-Simone Williams currently serves as a writer, producer, and creative director. Her work supports major network campaigns including College Hill: Celebrity Edition, Diarra from Detroit, Impact Atlanta, BET Awards, BET Hip Hop Awards, and Hip Hop 50. She also contributes to red carpet activations, show premieres, and creative strategy across platforms. In addition to BET, Aubrey served as a producer for projects at Cartoon Network and National Geographic, and was instrumental in the pitching and development of shows for Fox Digital (Fox Soul TV) - producing and creative directing for One on One with Keyshia Cole and The Mike and Donny Show.
As a theatre professional, she served as a stage manager, playwright, lighting designer, acting coach, and director. She has also participated in theatre education panels and has designed and handled contracts for off-broadway productions in New York City. As the founder of her theatre company, TheACTivists, she developed original productions and toured its flagship play, Black Matter, which was deemed “Most Inspiring Play of the Season” at the Rochester Fringe Festival.
Aubrey has studied and trained at the Shakespeare Globe Theatre in London, England, the Stella Adler Studio of Acting in New York City, as well as Robert Mello Studios and the Alliance Theatre in Atlanta, Georgia. Her formal education includes a B.I.S. in Theatre Performance, a B.A. in Film, and an M.A. in African-American Studies from Georgia State University. Aubrey's published material includes Black Matter: The Play, and “The Last Poets” for The Black Power Encyclopedia – 2018.
Her hobbies include traveling and freelance photography.
