Role: Writer/Producer
As a Writer and Producer for the 2022 BET Awards—one of my first major projects at BET—I developed and pitched creative concepts to both internal teams and senior leadership. I wrote and produced the official host spot featuring Taraji P. Henson, marking my first time scripting for a show host. Of the various creative ideas pitched, mine was the only one selected and carried through final production, ultimately becoming the flagship piece of the campaign. This project laid the foundation for my ongoing work on high-profile talent-driven campaigns.
For the BET Awards 2024, I served as Writer/Producer for the BET 45 Red Carpet activation—a celebration of the network’s 45th anniversary. I crafted compelling interview questions that aligned with the brand’s legacy while highlighting the future of culture. In addition to writing and producing on-site content, I successfully secured A-list talent for both the red carpet and the BET Awards Media House, ensuring a dynamic presence across platforms and extending the campaign’s reach beyond the main event.
